Rosehip oil is produced by extracting the seeds of the rose bush, which can be from the musk rose bush or from sweet briar. This oil is obtained by a cold pressed extraction technique, the same way olive oil is obtained. Rosehip oil for acne is gaining popularity, however there is a lot of misconception about this. This is because oil from rose hip is powerful to treat acne scars, but it is not a treatment for acne condition itself. Its application on pimples, can even multiply the break outs. Given below is explained why rosehip oil benefits in treating the acne scars, but is a bad idea for treating pimples. And some other solutions to treat break outs.

Rosehip Oil for Acne Scars

Why Rosehip Oil for Scars?
First, let us look at what all rosehip oil contains. It contains retinol or vitamin A, which is good for skin and used for reducing any types of scars. It also contains omega 6 and omega 9 fatty acids. It contains beta-carotene, which is a powerful antioxidant and a source of pro-vitamin A. This is the stuff found in carrots too, and carrots are also good for skin care. It contains natural vitamin C. And it contains lycopene which is a very powerful antioxidant.

It contains many antioxidants, which help to fight the free radical damage, and push out toxins out of the skin, which means clearer skin. As rosehip oil contain lipoic acid, it can even help get rid of the harmful bacterial out of the skin. But, the same thing can irritate the skin. There are some products which don't contain lipoic acid, so if you have sensitive skin, or pimple prone skin, then go for lipoic acid free products.

Using Rosehip Oil for Scar Treatment
You can use rosehip oil to get rid of any type of scars, but rosehip oil for pimples is not a good idea. It has moisturizing properties, which you can use even to get rid of stretch marks. It is also good for hyper-pigmented skin. You can also use it as a moisturizer. Rosehip oil works good to prevent pre-mature aging. This oil is good to repair skin damage done by sun, and it can help to restore the natural glow of the skin.

Rosehip in general is good for getting rid for scars, whether pimple marks, skin burn marks, stretch marks, hyper-pigmentation, etc. But, when it is used in high concentration it can aggravate acne. To use it as a natural acne cures for scars, it is best if you mix it with other oils. Mix rosehip oil jojoba oil and lavender oil, in a 10:10:3 proportion. Jojoba oil is excellent moisturizer and a light one, and lavender oil has its own benefits in reducing scar appearance. This treatment won't work overnight, so you will have to follow it for few months till you get to the see the effects.

Apart from using rosehip oil for facial care, speed up the process you can also use other homemade face packs to reduce the scar appearance. Make a sandalwood powder pack with rosewater, and apply on the face, and let it dry for 10-15 minutes, then wash your face with cool water. Repeat this remedy twice a week.

Treating Acne First
If you are still suffering from acne breakouts like pimples and blackheads, then consider using other essential oils for acne. Two of the best oils are jojoba oil for acne and tea tree oil for acne. Jojoba oil helps to dissolve the clogged sebum of acne and tea tree oil kills the bacteria. Mix jojoba oil with tea tree oil in 10:2 proportion respectively, and apply it on the breakouts.

This was about rosehip oil for acne, so use it to treat acne scars. Make sure you use the right type of variety to prevent irritation, or aggravate the condition.

Spectacles and Beauty

Spectacles and Beauty

Spectacles and Beauty By Pamela ConolySo many of us are cursed with bad eyesight at one time or another. The first thing that most everyone thinks when they find out they need glasses is that this is not something that can fit in their beauty regimen. Well, granted it does take a little getting use to if you’ve never had to wear them. Having to wear glasses myself I can certainly understand and sympathize with this. But,take heart! Spectacles are in. Just in case you haven’t noticed. From the very large to the teeny tiny. It is not hard to find the right ones for you that can really make a statement. It is true,at least in my opinion, that they make people look more intelligent. There is also a certain beauty that they can lend to your overall look if you pick the right frames. Now,you have to be realistic, though, because some prescriptions just can’t be fitted into certain frames. That just the way it is. But for the most part most prescriptions will fit just fine in any frame you choose. Frames are also made better now than ever before and with technology’s advanced improvements they are made even faster! All you have to do is select the ones that are suited to you. It is also important to select frames in colors or hues that you wear most of the time. Some people select them to go with their eyes or hair. Just as long as it is color that is near enough to what you wear everyday. A simple way to figure this out is to look in your closet. What colors do your wardrobe mainly consist of? You can’t go wrong with that color selection. Then select the color of frames that comes closest. It will also help to wear a color that you might wear to work when you go to select your frames even though it may be on the same day as your eye exam. Don’t wear too much mascara when you go to take your eye exam or selecting your frames. The reason being that when the frames are measured to be fitted to your face, your eyelashes are not taken into consideration. In other words,if your eyelashes bump against your lenses you’ve used too much mascara. Which you should never do anyway. Use your glasses as a guide and you’ll put on just the right amount. Too much is not good for your eyes anyway. Plus,if you happen to get mascara on your lenses sometimes it smears and is very hard to get off. It is possible to even scratch plastic lenses trying to get mascara http://www.portalsmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/womens-health.jpg
